An austere and profound collection, nocturnal and free, that draws its emotional and formal grammar from late-1980s and early-1990s New York
A decisive city with radical elegance, where women moved with complete autonomy, confidence, and freedom.
The collection—presented in a setting reminiscent of that historical period, with references to the architectural details of the Seagram Building—is composed of sharply defined lines: prominent shoulders, geometric silhouettes, high-waisted trousers, miniskirts, and statement accessories reimagined in a new, contemporary way, without nostalgia.
Here, a coat is no longer just a coat: it is enveloping, substantial, yet essential. Tweed, herringbone, Prince of Wales check, and loden are crafted into elongated silhouettes with an open, structural lightness. The shoulders are meticulously constructed, the lapels precise, and the proportions millimeter-perfect. Nothing is left to chance.
Color functions as it does in Warhol’s art—not decoratively, but philosophically. The dominant register is that of the material itself: chocolate brown, caramel, Manhattan stone gray, cream, midnight black, forest green, with subtle touches of mint.
Knitwear—a hallmark of the fashion house—features sumptuous mohair and merino yarns, rendered in minimalist forms that privilege warmth without embellishment.
The new collection unfolds as a journey that begins in the morning with a long coat and ends at midnight in duchesse satin. Between these two moments, the Luisa Spagnoli woman expresses her “Free Choice” (“Libera Scelta”) and moves through the city—managing appointments, meetings, and travel—expressing herself with a decisive, clean, and authoritative style.
